OED Education Program Update
Summer & Future ECHO Workshops
We have been developing online options for both departments and our certificate program workshops, which we began implementing in April and May 2020. We are offering the full series of OED Certificate Workshops via ECHO to participants who were already registered or waitlisted for in-person Summer 2020 OED Certificate workshops that were canceled due to the COVID-19 response. We hope to offer ECHO more broadly to the University community this summer and possibly this Fall as well. Watch this page for future ECHO workshop announcements. Please sign up for our Education Program email to stay up to date on ECHO offerings.
In-Person Workshops Announcement
Following guidance from President Gabel, students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to stay home. To facilitate physical distancing and help slow the spread of COVID-19, we are canceling all OED in-person workshops scheduled to take place during the spring semester and summer session. (Note: all external participants will be refunded for any canceled workshop).
If you have any general questions or are concerned about finishing the Certificate Program in a timely manner, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Office for Equity & Diversity Education Program offers workshops at the departmental level to University of Minnesota departments.
This program helps participants develop tools necessary for advancing equity and diversity in all aspects of their personal and professional lives. It’s free of charge and open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni on all campuses of the University of Minnesota.
These are faculty- and staff-specific workshops on facilitating conversations in the classroom and identifying implicit bias. They can also be customized for individual unit needs and concerns.
